Through electroforming, I grow a layer of solid copper over the natural shell, preserving every ridge, ripple and scalloped edge of the carapace. Hand-shaped copper wire waves across its surface, and the copper is darkened to bring out deep bronze highlights. It hangs from a warm 22" copper chain.
I found this crab shell myself on Horseneck Beach in Massachusetts, so this talisman carries a little of New England's shoreline with it. This one is the only one. It arrives in a gift box.
