Sacred Petals was born from a love of discovery and transformation.

‍ ‍Glass becomes light, copper transcends history and flowers whisper our stories.

I am Sofia Gagua, a Massachusetts artist and maker drawn to the meeting place between nature and imagination. My work combines flame-worked glass, metal-smithing, natural materials, and found treasures to create pieces that feel like artifacts from forgotten worlds—objects that might have washed ashore, been unearthed from ancient ruins, or traveled to us from distant stars.

I am inspired by wild gardens, rivers, forests, geology, astronomy, folklore, and the quiet beauty hidden in everyday moments. Each piece is created slowly and intentionally by hand.

I embrace organic forms, textures, and imperfections because they remind us that beauty is not manufactured—it grows, evolves, and emerges.

For me, creating is both exploration and discovery. Every flame-worked bead, every hammered piece of metal, and every carefully chosen stone becomes part of a conversation between material, maker, and imagination.

My hope is that each piece carries a sense of wonder and invites you to pause, dream, and reconnect with the beauty that surrounds us.

Welcome to Sacred Petals!

“From start to finish, working with Sofia was a pleasant experience. The artworks and a floral arrangement that she created for our home were perfect and beyond what we could have imagined.”
