Welcome to Sacred Petals Art! These terms explain how things work when you browse SacredPetalsArt.com or buy one of my pieces. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. I've tried to keep them short and clear.

Who I am

Sacred Petals Art is a small handmade glass art and jewelry studio run by me, Sofia Gagua, in Massachusetts, USA. I also sell on Etsy at etsy.com/shop/SacredPetals. Orders placed on Etsy are also covered by Etsy's own terms and policies.

Orders and payment

  • Checkout on this site runs through Squarespace Commerce. Payments are processed securely by Squarespace's payment partners (such as Stripe or PayPal). I never see or store your full card number.

  • Prices are in US dollars and shown at checkout. I may change prices at any time, but changes never affect an order you've already placed.

  • If I can't fill an order (for example, a one-of-a-kind piece sold elsewhere at the same moment), I'll let you know and refund you in full.

Shipping, returns, and refunds

Shipping times, free US shipping, international orders, and returns are all explained on my Returns & Shipping page. That page is part of these terms.

Every piece is handmade

Each piece is made by hand from glass, so no two are exactly alike. Colors, dichroic patterns, bubbles, and small marks vary from piece to piece and may look a little different from the photos depending on your screen and the light. These natural variations are part of the charm and aren't considered defects.

Custom orders and Kahu Memorial Glass

Kahu Memorial Glass pieces include a small amount of your pet's ashes, set into a custom glass piece. I know how precious these are, and I treat them with great care and respect.

  • Sending ashes: After you order, I'll send you simple instructions for mailing a small amount of your pet's ashes. Within the US, USPS requires cremated remains to be sent by Priority Mail Express, and I'll explain how to pack them. Please use a well-sealed container. The package is your responsibility until it arrives with me.

  • Unused ashes: Any ashes I don't use are carefully returned to you with your finished piece.

  • Timing: Custom and Kahu pieces take about 2 weeks to make before they ship.

  • Changes and cancellations: If you change your mind before your pet's ashes arrive or before I start working, you'll get a full refund. Once work begins, custom and Kahu pieces are final and can't be returned or refunded.

  • Because each memorial piece is handmade, the amount and look of the ashes in the glass will vary.

Care and safety

  • Glass is beautiful but breakable. Please handle it gently and keep it away from hard knocks and sudden temperature changes.

  • Remove jewelry before swimming, bathing, or sleeping.

  • Jewelry is not for children under 3. Some pieces contain small parts that could be a choking hazard. Please keep them out of reach of young children.

My designs and photos

All designs, photos, text, and other content on this site belong to Sacred Petals Art. Please don't copy, reproduce, or sell them without my written permission. You're welcome to share links to my pages and photos of pieces you've bought (I'd love to see them!).

Using the site

Please use the site lawfully and don't try to disrupt it, misuse its forms, or access parts that aren't meant for you. The site is provided "as is." I work to keep it accurate and running, but I can't promise it will always be error-free or available.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Sacred Petals Art isn't responsible for indirect or unexpected losses arising from your use of the site or my products. My total responsibility for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing here limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I'll post the new version here with a new effective date. The terms in place when you placed your order apply to that order.
